Pop art for ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’
Buying art just got cheaper, thanks to various serigraphs now available in
the market, at an affordable rate. Entering the market is pop art for promoting
Yash Raj Film’s ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’ (DBB) starring Sushant Singh
Rajput. These pop art serigraphs are created by film merchandising partner
Marvel Art Gallery.
According to MD Chaitya Shah there are two frames, ‘Taana Rickshaw’
and ‘Elements of DBB’ that are available at a price of Rs 1600 and Rs 2000
respectively. “This is our second project with YRF and the association is for
more films too. In fact, we approached them for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘FAN’ film
and ended up doing DBB as an additional project. This too is exciting project
to work upon.”
The concept as always explained Shah is to make art affordable for all, especially
youngsters. “It is our constant endeavour to promote art amongst youngsters.
At such low rates, it is feasible for the youth to buy art either for personal collection
or to give it as a gift. While Taana…has Sushan’t signature copy on it, Elements…
has director Dibakar Bannerjee’s signature copy. But there will be early 30 works
that will have original signatures of the two,” said Shah. There will be 300 frames
of each of the artworks.
