Very rarely does one get to see an entire art show dedicated
to printmaking! 41 artists from almost every part of India,
immensely qualified in printmaking, have put together this exhibition.
The organiser, Marvel Art Gallery of Ahmedabad, works towards
the promotion of printmaking as an artistic medium. The show
has woodcuts, intaglios, lithographs, etchings and serigraphs.

DID YOU KNOW?

Printmaking is the process of making artworks by printing.
It normally involves only the process of creating prints with
an element of originality, rather than just being a photographic
reproduction of a painting. It uses different materials like
metal plates or polymer plates for etching; stone, aluminium
or polymer for lithography; blocks of wood for woodcuts
and linoleum for linocuts.
