Art Makes Sense

For 20 years, art has been our ally. It has brought us many firsts – Children who couldn’t recognize their own hands, now go to mainstream schools; recognize their mother’s touch. Adults who were written off by their community, labeled a curse, now earn their own livelihoods. At every step, Art has helped us bring the world to a deafblind child’s fingertips. And as we celebrate our 20th year in 2017, commemorating our journey with ‘Art Makes Sense’ we celebrate inclusivity with unique tactile artworks, exclusively created by some of India’s eminent artists. One of India’s premier art galleries, Marvel Art Gallery, has generously curated the entire project pro bono. For every painting bought, a future is secured. Half of the proceeds will directly benefit Sense India’s programmes in 22 states from screening babies for deafblindness, to building vocational programmes for adults with deafblindness and their families and many more milestones in between.
