‘Husain through the eyes of painters’ is a tribute by six Gujarat-based artists

to late MF Husian on his first death anniversary

The first showers have lashed the city. And with it, the kitlis are brimming
with people craving for ginger-laden tea, the ideal monsoon companion.
And out are the umbrellas and raincoats. What’s more, a variety of events
are lined up for the weekend and the coming week. 48 Hrs brings you some

A tribute to the legendary MF Husain
The man who put Indian art on the global map — MF Husain’s first death
anniversary is round the corner and Marvel Art Gallery pays a tribute to
the great maestro by displaying, “Husain through the eyes of painters”.
The show will display works of six young Gujarat-based artists and after a
very long time has limited Husain’s works on display.
Gallery TIMING: 4-7 pm.

Known for their different theatres, Fanatika Theatre Club presents
Dakhla Tarike — an original play on contemporary Gujarati theatre
practice in modern Gujarati. WHEN: Sunday June 9 WHERE: Gujarat
