Budding painters speak out with colours
Ahmedabad:After a successful junior golf camp, the Gulmohar
Greens Golf and Country Club, in association with Marvel Art Foundation,
organized a painting competition for youngsters of various age groups
between 6 to 18 years at their club premises on Saturday.
There were 44 participants including some underprivileged
children studying at the school for migrant labours in the club. The main
aim of the event was to guide these youngsters through the various
aspects of Indian contemporary art.
With an aim to nurture the aesthetic sensibilities of the participants
the winners were awarded limited edition serigraphs by noted artists
Yashwant Shirwadkar, Jamini Roy and Haku Shah.
Nisarg Trivedi, Heli Shah and Nishk Roopang won the first, second and
third place respectively in the 6 to 12 years category. Heli K Shah, Zeel
Parikh and Vimarsh Bhatt got the got the first, second and third place
respectively in the 13 to 18 years category. Sajal Sarkar, Harshil Patel and
Chaitya Dhanvi Shah were the judges.
